The business started in Gladstone Qld in May 2002 by establishing a frame and truss plant. To service builders better we quickly grew into timber and hardware market focusing on a trade range of building supplies. By 2004 we established a frame and truss in Bundaberg as well as a timber and hardware merchant warehouse. By 2005 we expanded into Hervey Bay and by 2007 into Brisbane market. Today we have consolidated our operations to more efficient and deliver cheaper prices but continue to service these same areas.

The key is the quality of people we employ with knowledge and experience within the business. In total staff experience totals more than 700 years of collective experience. We are also part of the NatBuild buying group with combined sales of greater than billion dollars therefore we can offer very competitive prices.

Quick summary about myself. I grew up in Bundy and spent most of my time within the timber industry starting my career in 1992 with CSR at it’s softwood mill located in Caboolture Qld. From there I went into the softwood plantation industry before entering into truss and frame industry in 2002. Our business, although we are geared to supply and support the building trade we also welcome the public in their DIY/reno projects. With over 700 years of collective experience we sure can help people with their projects whether small or big.

CQ Building Supplies have survived major competition, economic downturns, storms and floods. We have supported the local community, maintained our reputation for service and customer satisfaction.
